PRESERVING YOUR STORY AS A BOOK

Everyone has meaningful stories but all too often these important stories can be lost or forgotten and not passed on to the next generation. Writing a book about your memories to share with loved ones is a lasting gift. At Write Before The End, we know how precious these memories are and we would love to help you preserve them in a book that will be treasured forever. You own the copyright and retain all rights to the book.

Write Before The End can help you make a book!

All we need is your stories as a Word document, or Pages or Rich Text file.

Choose from the following options.

Share Your Story Option 1 (Private)

Your text will be correctly formatted to be published as a paperback with page numbering, and other optional front and back matter like the dedication, etc.

We won’t change a word.

You choose your style from a host of choices.

We work with you to create the perfect cover, front and back. The completed files (interior and cover) can be passed to your local printer or a printing company online who will print as many paperback copies as you need.

 

Prices

Up to 50,000 words $250 USD
50,000 to 100,000 words $299 USD

Over 100,000 words negotiable

Optional: 1 – 5 images with or without captions, FREE.
After that, add $1 USD per image.

Include your word count and include a sample or your entire story. If you plan to include images, please add an estimate of how many you would like to include.

What will you get?

  • A PDF file of your cover
  • A PDF file of the paperback interior (you can choose between a list of sizes)

There is no charge for the first three minor changes made within the first two weeks after the files are returned.

After that up to 10 changes will be $10 USD.

Items needed to get started: 

  • Word doc, Pages, or Rich Text document
  • Title, including any subtile, or series title
  • Author name
  • Any preface, introduction, forward, dedication, epilogue, about the author, other books by this author should be clearly marked
  • Chapters need to be clearly separated
  • Scene breaks need to be marked with three or more asterisks (***)
  • Blank lines between paragraphs should be deleted
  • Any images to be included (these can be sent separately if needed). Please indicate where the photo goes and if there is any caption you wish to include

Timeline

You can expect work to be completed within one week to a month, depending on the requirements and already scheduled projects. Timeline will be agreed upon before starting your project.

Payment

PayPal and Venmo are accepted. We ask for a 50% deposit to start, and the final 50% due on completion.

 

If you would like to include pictures in you book, you can choose placement style, with or without captions.

 

Share Your Story Option 2 (Public)

Your text will be correctly formatted to be published as a paperback and ebook, with chapters, table of contents, page numbering, and other optional front and back matter like the dedication, etc.

We won’t change a word.

You choose your style from a host of choices. We work with you to create the perfect covers, i.e. paperback front and back, and ebook.

We will then use the completed files and help you upload them to Amazon. You can order inexpensive  author copies directly from Amazon. Your book will be on sale all over the world, and you collect the royalties from sales you make.

50,000 to 100,000 words $449 USD

Over 100,000 words negotiable

  • 1 cover reveal image
  • 2 Mockup images for your social media

Your handwritten documents will be correctly formatted to be published as a paperback with or without page numbering, and other optional front and back matter like the dedication, etc. We won’t change a word.

You choose the size from a host of choices. We work with you to create the perfect cover, front and back. The completed files (interior and cover) can be passed to your local printer or a printing company online who will print as many paperback copies as you need.

This is a great option to share family recipes, or if the person sharing their story doesn’t like to use a computer.

You can take some of the provided questions, or purchase a guided journal and give them to your loved one. Once they answer them, we will turn their answers into a file you can get printed as many times as you wish.

Formatting Services for Paperbacks and Ebooks

There are sites available that offer automatic formatting, however, these sites often produce final products that are full of errors. When a reader opens your book, you want it to be smooth and free from errors. Many reviews are based on the final product, and sadly, readers may turn away from your book altogether if the formatting is off.

To save you from these headaches, we can help!

Moonlit Madness Press will take your Word document and convert it into a beautiful, print-ready file for your paperback and ebook.

We know how personal this phase is along the publishing journey, and we will work with you, listening to your requests. You will be able to load these files onto KDP (Amazon), as well as other retailers.

We will not alter your words in anyway. You maintain all rights to your work. Your work is kept confidential and not shared with anyone.
